Here at the James Matassa Insurance Agency, I take my responsibility seriously when it comes to helping you make smart decisions regarding your insurance needs. In 2006, I opened my first State Farm agency in Lockport, Louisiana. 14 years later, in 2020, I was awarded the opportunity by State Farm to open a second agency located in Thibodaux, Louisiana, allowing me serve all of Lafourche Parish and surrounding areas.

Being a Lafourche Parish resident myself, I understand the people here and what they expect from their agent. I am a proud supporter of our local schools, churches, athletic programs, and various charities and organizations. I am a member of both the Chamber of Lafourche and Thibodaux Chamber of Commerce. We are proud to serve Lockport, Raceland, Larose, Cut Off, Galliano, Grand Isle, Gheens, St. Charles, Thibodaux, Chackbay, Labadieville, Napoleonville, Schriever, Gray, and other local surrounding areas.

Throughout my years as a State Farm Agent, I have qualified for several program recognitions with State Farm such as Chairman Circle, President’s Club, Ambassador Travel, and Central Zone Vice President Club.

My team brings over 200 combined years of State Farm Insurance experience to our agency. All of my team members hold valid insurance licenses with the State of Louisiana and are active in continuing education to ensure that we are compliant with all requirements held by the Department of Insurance.
